I also asked around my Deaf friends about Umai-Ya. They also never try it. Nevermind, I want to try it on my first time! My best friend also same! I treated my best friend for her birthday in October. Umai-Ya Japanese Restaurant located at IOI Boulevard. So my house also near it, my best friend too. It is big place get nice tables, wooden floors, some tatami seats and also a few VIP private rooms. It is suitable for family, couples and friends.
They provided the limited variety of sushi, set meals, sashimi, Japanese dishes. I also check the menu about the lunch buffet also be available on the weekend. Next time we will go there for the lunch buffet!
My best friend and I took 6 sushi only because we want to try different or new sushi than Sushi King and Sakae Sushi. We feel our taste like fresh and soft sushi!
At same time, we enjoyed to talk and eat sushi while we waited for a meal set until it is ready. But, their service is so-so, because the staffs are very busy, and still many people come then order many dishes. I think that it is sure very popular. We waited for 15 - 20 minutes but, we don't mind and understand that the chefs are doing a very good job to prepare a very nice Japanese food, make us eat so delicious! Finally, she ordered a mushroom soup, we shared it together. She really love soup! :)
We also enjoyed to eat our favourite food, sushi and meal set! We think that Umai-Ya japanese food are very delicious and fresh, sure it is reasonable price, RM 109 bill.
When we pay bill, my best friend surprised to see a staff who know how to spell a sign, "C.I.T.I", mean he asked if we get citibank credit card or not. I don't have it. We think that how he learn the sign language? It is good to see him to know the sign language...Hehe.
If you use citibank credit, you can get 15% discount, it vaild until December 2012 only.
