Invited for 3rd Malaysian Conference on Rehabilitaion on 20 - 22 September 2010 at Dewan Tun Dr Ismail, Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

First time, I heard about 3rd Malaysian Conference on Rehabilitaion on 20 - 22 September 2010 at Dewan Tun Dr Ismail, Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Objectives:
- Improve awareness of participants on the rights of Persons with Disabilities through PWD Act 685.
-Deliberate on ways to implement Section 29 PWD Act 685.
-Learn about the above two from experienced international and national speakers.

How Majlis Pemulihan Malaysia (MCR) found me? They emailed me through my blog, selinawing.com. But I guess about someone know me that tell them? They invited me for the Workshop: Person- Centred Assessment for Employment of Persons with Disabilities with Hearing Disabilities. The workshop would be based on case scenario, assessments and recommendations for the Employment issues only.

From start, I thought that I will be speaker for this workshop after I read this email. I am not sure this details so I asked my mom to call a person in the charge of the workshop. After that, I don't need to be speaker but, I have to help the participants in the workshop. I also heard that MCR get two deaf persons joined in the workshop only, like me. Two deaf persons; Aqlam and Melina who will attend for the conference for 3 days. I cannot attend this because I have to work... :( Don't worry, I sure go to the workshop on 21 September.

As co-facilitator, I will guide discussion and assessment in each small group and share with a group case assessment to workshop group. Well, we just need to tell what are needed for the employment for Deaf & Hard of hearing and share our experience of working with the participants.

It is very interesting about the issues about employment disability for the 3rd Malaysian Conference on Rehabilitaion. I believe that a lot of students and researchers from research centers, universities and college that will come to this conference for their research project. And it help to gain more information & knowledge about the Disability Act.

I will forward looking for this workshop on tomorrow!
