Last Tuesday we won 2 ticket to watch The Martian 3D from Grabies! I have seen The Martian trailer before and I am really excited to watch it when they released. Thanks to Grabies, I get to watch the premier screening on Tuesday and it a 3D movie too! It was a really strict premier screening in GSC cinema because the security are really tight and they keep checking the cinema to see if anyone is recording the movie.
During a manned mission to Mars, Astronut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring "The Martian" home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible rescue mission. As these stories of incredible bravery unfold, the world comes together to root for Watney's safe return.
Personally I think this movie has something similar to Gravity movie (2013), but this time the astronaut is stranded in a planet, not in space. The Martian movie has some elements of comedy which makes the movie much more interesting! I like how he can stay positive and always on the hunt to find ways to keep himself survive while waiting for help from NASA. There are also times when misfortune befall on him and all of his hard work got wasted. Nevertheless, he can still had the drive to live on till he is rescued by his crews.
If I were to stranded in a planet all alone, I don't think I can be so positive all the time. Overall, this is a great movie to watch and the movie is about 2 hours plus! You definitely won't feel boring watching it and with the elements of comedy in this movie, you will have a great time in the cinema!

They have been in the movie making industry for 75 years and I love all the movies they have produced so far! From thrilling animated features to special effects that make our super heroes leap and fly off the screen, their mission is the same as it was over a century ago, give people the simple pleasure of being transported by a story on a screen.
